The Breakdown of 'The Week Of', 'Kodachrome', and 'Candy Jar'

Avengers: Infinity War has scared away the competition from the theatres, so The Movie Breakdown thought it was a perfect week to stay home and review three Netflix originals. The big one is the latest Adam Sandler comedy about a working class dad trying to find ways to afford his daughter's wedding in The Week Of. Then we have a star-studded road trip picture with big names Jason Sudeikis, Elizabeth Olsen and Ed Harris in Kodachrome. We also have a high school romantic comedy about two teens that are forced to work together on their debate team in Candy Jar. From there, we look at the Academy expelling Roman Polanski from membership and discuss if the Academy has a moral obligation and if we should allow the evil deeds of the artist to affect their art. In other news, Avengers: Infinity War broke the record for highest domestic opening weekend and so, we discuss what other movie studios can learn from its success. It is a packed show, and we really appreciate you checking it out. If you love the show then please help us out by spreading the word to other huge movie fans/

Reminder that you can now subscribe either to The Movie Breakdown feed (a subscription link is at the top right hand of this site) or on iTunes.

We apologize but there won't be any outline for The Movie Breakdown, due to the crazy mystery that the media player runs different times and so the timestamps have no value. If you know how to solve this problem it would be greatly appreciated.

Question of the Week: Mother's Day is this upcoming weekend. Of course, you love your mom, but if for one day you had the power to replace her with any movie mom then who would you choose?
